TPU is used in the healthcare, automotive, construction, defence, leisure, sports, textile, security and manufacturing industries worldwide.
High-performance TPU, Platilon® U, has elasticity, durability and high strength to low tear ratio making it extremely tough and resilient. Because the material has a thickness of only 80µ it is also very mouldable. Platilon® U is the trade name for extruded thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) films made by Epurex.
There are many uses for such an extraordinary material which can be supplied in any length in thicknesses of 0.06 mm and 0.08 mm. An industrial thickness has been used in supporting bridges!
PRA Plastics & Development Ltd was established in 1972 as a social enterprise and is now part of The Centre for Better Health, a community based mental health charity supporting people through their recovery.
