PRA Plastics (& Developments Ltd.) sells products made out of polyurethane called Platilon.  The material is waterproof yet breathable, non-allergenic, fire resistant and tactile.  The current products being sold are Platilon sheets, cushion covers, vacuum casting bags and bed sheets.

PRA Plastics supports people recovering from or experiencing mental health problems. It encourages its participants to play an active part in the community.  It focuses on supporting choice, the development of skills, opportunities and initiatives which assists participants to access mainstream settings and employment.

We work closely with our customers because we are aware of the need to personalise some of our manufactured products to suit the end client. We work closely with customer design teams to adapt or modify existing bag designs to suit their needs. We manufacture according to specifications they provide or design the product to meet their requirements.  We have a quality control system that ensures all manufactured items  are tested properly and passed before they are dispatched. Our  prices are extremely competitive and we are one of the cheapest on the market.  We provide a minimum order requirement of 50 metres but it could be even less if the customer desired i.e. 10 mts or 20mts.  Our Vacuum casting bags are cheaper than competitors and are produced to customer requirement. We have existing relationships with wheelchair services companies.

Platilon sheets:                      (High quality polyurethane film for manufacturing)  Current applications: Cushion covers, creating vacuum casting bags, custom made pillow cases.

 

Tailored and off-the-shelf vacuum casting bags:           Current applications:                Creating casts for custom seating and orthoses.  Also custom made casting bags used in MRI scanning (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).  The use of an all plastic based product is vital for this procedure

 

High-quality mattress covers both fitted and sleeve styles. Current applications: Waterproofing beds

 

A stretchy thin plastic cover. Current applications: Unknown, but likely to be waterproofing equipment. Can Safely be around a food environment for example packaging, confectionary  etc.
